The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 MPH, the -??ESC Unavailable-??, 'ABS Failure', and -??Do Not drive over 62 MPH-??, -??Please Drive with Care-?? messages were displayed. The contact stated that when the brake pedal was depressed, the brake pedal remained on the floorboard. The contact stated that the braking distance was extended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 67,699.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH, the service brakes were inoperable. The contact depressed the brake pedal to the floorboard and the vehicle did not stop or slow down. The contact stated that several warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that due to the service brakes being inoperable, he tried to avoid a crash. While the contact was making a left turn, an oncoming vehicle crashed into the vehicle on the rear passenger side of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle continued to roll while he continued to depress the brake pedal and the vehicle finally came to a stop. The axle was fractured and the frame underneath of the vehicle had shifted. The vehicle was undrivable. The contact and the other driver contacted the local police and the incident report was taken over the phone. No injuries were reported. The contact stated that the failure had occurred previously, and the dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that a tow truck would be picking the vehicle up. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, there was an abnormal squealing sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who replaced the front brake pads. While test driving the vehicle, the front driver-??s side brake caliper failed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V116000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 37,000.

The contact's husband owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle suddenly decelerated to 40 MPH. The contact stated that the failure recurred on various occasions and that an unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that two brake calipers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to Classic Chevy Sugar Land (Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478), where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced again. The VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V116000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was advised to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was unknown.
