The contact stated that the failure recurred and that the vehicle was unable to accelerate over 40 MPH. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,500.

Additionally, a message indicating that the brakes had failed, and the vehicle could only drive at 40 MPH was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the brake master cylinder was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred while driving and coming to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the same repair was completed; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent the parts to the dealer for repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.
