The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that after the vehicle had been idle, the contact attempted to accelerate and the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The service power steering and the ESC warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted and notified of the failure however, the vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
