Purchased this 2018 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab from the Chevy dealer in Wildwood in May 2019 with less than 50 miles on it. This vehicle was a left over from 2018 but never titled. Although the transmission seems to have shifting issues, I assumed it was just the Chevrolet product. However, after putting about 1,500 miles on the truck, I started hearing squeaking from under the back bed. I assumed it was new and the springs were rusted so I waited to see if the issue would resolve itself.
I never received a thank you from the dealer or a notice of free oil changes and tire rotations so I assumed dealers doesn't want repeat customers or to service their vehicle.
I took it to my friends tire store for its first oil change around 7,500 miles (July 2019). The noise from under the bed began to get louder so I stopped by the dealer where I purchased the truck so they could look at it. I was told I was entitled to two free oil changes and tire rotations but there was nothing in writing. The service department did confirm the Leaf Spring Shackles were bad and needed replacement. That visit took place on September 5, 2019 and was told they should have parts in 72 hours. Called back to see what the status of replacement parts was on the 17th only to be told there weren't any in the system and on back order.
In the meantime, GM goes on strike. Here it is October 1, 2019 with no contact from the dealer or status update. All this bragging about how many awards Chevrolet has won is a crock! Never had these issues with my Toyota or Nissan. Consumers should beware of all the braggers, they typically can't stand up to the hype.
