I bought my 2018 Chevrolet LT truck on 2018. All maintenaince are done by professionals except I did change oil on the last two oil change. I just paid off the loan 5 months ago and it start have problem, loose power, noise from the engine, shaking. I took it to Chevrolet dealer to diagnose and the said it is shift lifter problem and the camshaft. Cost me $5000 to tear down to diagnose more. They said they can't tell from outside how much the lifter destroy its components. They called me said it will cost me $11,200 to repair or $13,200 to replace engine.

That is a bullshit, I paid $50,000 for the truck and I have to come up $11,200 just to repair their problem. I found more information on youtube that there was a lawsuit against GM, but they only offer to repair those under-warranty cars.

My Silverado is 4 years old and has to have complete valve and lifter replacements and new cam shaft. It is at a Chevrolet dealership being fixed. It is going to cost me $5,000.00. ONLY 4 YEARS OLD!!!! I am 76 years old and living on a fixed income. This problem will put me in debt the rest of my life. Does General Motors care? No

I have read several articles after researching this engine problem saying these engines were engineered to fail. I am screwed, blued, and tattooed.............Send me $5000 GM.
