The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal extended to the floorboard, extending the stopping distance. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the vacuum pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V603000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 30,000.
