I turned on the rear defrost to the vehicle. Within about 30 seconds, I saw smoke rising from the center part of the rear window as if the defroster had started a fire. I immediately turned the rear defrost off and the smoke ceased. Within a mater of seconds, the right panel of the rear window popped very loudly as it shattered, presumably from the fire. I was driving on a rural road when this occurred. I do have a power rear window on the vehicle and there is a recall already in Canada for Chevrolet Silverado's of my model year with the rear power window having fires started by the rear defroster.

A/C condenser failure: As I live in a climate that experiences snow and below-freezing temperatures more often than 80 degree days, I only us my air conditioning maybe 5 months of the year. I went to use my A/C this summer and realized it was blowing warm air. I did some research and decided to just add more R-134A with dye to troubleshoot the problem. I found using a uv flashlight that the A/C condenser has a pretty large crack in it in the same location as on the Chevy Suburban's and Tahoe's. it is visible through the grill towards the drivers side. As the quote for the job at the dealership is well over $500, I decided to just roll my windows down all summer and replace the A/C condenser myself over the winter. I am currently gathering my parts to do so. Apparently it is a 4-6 hour job, but aside from plowing, school, and work, I should be able to eventually get it done. This is frustrating that a (at the time) 4 year-old vehicle has so many defects that I will eventually have sunk $5K+ into for uncommon repairs on a 100K mile, 4 year-old truck.

Dive line vibration, not from out of balance wheels. It occurs around 70 mph and lives in and out. The shake/vibration is always present but gets fluctuates at a continuous speed. Goes from a slight floor vibration to the entire center console shaking water out of its cup. Feels like the wheels are going to come off the back. It can be seen that the rear end is shaking left to right from the drivers mirror.

The Silverado "myllink" information center changes screens randomly while driving. This creates a distraction to the drive as they return to the desired screen and setting. The screens and functions change every minute or so.

My truck shakes from the moment we pull off from a stop and shakes until we get up to 70mph. We had an alignment and that did not fix anything. GM is fully aware of the issue and has done nothing except put out a service bulletin for diagnostics that costs an arm and a leg! we cannot drive this vehicle because we are afraid we will lose control. This happens on paved and dirt roads and inside city limit streets (30 mph) and interstate roads (60mph+). we are also afraid to drive the truck fearing that it would get worse and the driveshaft might drop. $60K truck sitting in our driveway wasting away.

I'm having the transmission replaced in a 2016 Silverado! I'm 61 years old and take care of my vehicles. After reading car blogs, I see there are many complaints about the same thing! the truck jerks so violently that I'm afraid I've been hit by another car or that I may move forward and hit another vehicle. This is ridiculous that GM is aware of this and have not fixed this issue. I work hard for my money and do not feel that I should be responsible for this replacement. Please help!

Driving at 2 miles an hour or 65 miles an hour I have an issue with a bad vibration and a shaking coming unknown source. First off the brakes have failed on me a bunch of times. I brought it to the dealer before the recalls started and they said it was normal. The problem got worse causing two low speed accidents with no damage but scary. Note I have two kids in the car. Been in for multiple recalls. One accident happened in a drive thru and one in my driveway. Both were front end collisions but no damage. Second the truck shakes at higher speeds.starting at 24mph up to 80. My kids teeth shatter in the back. That's how bad it is. Dealers said there is no fix for that so I started by re balancing my tires and after that didn't work I got new tires. Still have the issue and its more of a headache to bring it into the dealer cause they don't want to fix it or can't. currently on 40,000 miles on my truck and already had a multitude of issues with oil pump failure, steering column replaced due to moving horizontal. Seat issues they couldn't fix so had to replace the bracket and brakes are ongoing.

Air conditioning compressor had cracked. This is a known problem on these vehicles and GM does nothing about it. Im sure there are thousands of complaints. Truck is 3 years old with 50K miles. Fair to have to pay a $1,000+ for gms neglect? please step in here, a lot of people are getting hurt by this. No recall has been issued and clearly it warrants one. Thank you for your time.

The A/C in my 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stopped working on 5/15/2019 I took the vehicle to the dealer on 5/16/2019 to have looked at. I was told that there is a pinhole leak in the condenser. I was charged $120 to have the problem diagnosed. The cost to repair was estimated at over $900 what upsetting is that I'm now finding out that this is a known problem that GM is totally aware of.

I have had this hard jerking and slamming of my transmission in my truck since I purchased it brand new. It occurs when going from reverse to drive it will hesitate and not go into gear and then it slams and jerks the vehicle violently with a aloud crack noise of the gears slamming together. It also occurs when I am in between the speed of 40-50 mph. I will be driving down the road and the truck will slam into gear while driving. It also had a very high idol and shakes the truck. I have brought my truck into the Chevrolet dealership for these issue 5+ times now and contacts the GM to help get my issue solved and they just can't not fix the issue. I don't want to get stranded with my family if the transmission decided to break or cause trouble. I have had multiple occurrences of this issue happening.
