CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2016 Silverado has a few problems reported here & there, but that's to be expected for a popular model. More importantly, it has no significant problem trends -- both with our complaint data & same with complaints made to the NHTSA.
The fogging of the headlights first occurred in 2018 and were replaced with new ones. Less than one year later the replacements fogged up but this time the warranty claim was denied, citing not a safety issue and the fogging is cosmetic.
Update from May 20, 2019: The new line is fogging due to atmospheric conditions. Going to arbitration, Camvap in Canada. Looking forward to learning the truth.
I have complained to the dealership but their hands are tied. General Motors refuses to fix any problems. The lenses continue to get worse and most of my driving is at night .The clouding of the lenses is definitely defeating the purpose of the led headlights. To replace both without labor is approximately $4.600.00. They claim there is no fix for this design flaw and the cost is approximately 1/8 of a new truck. They replaced my 2014 with this truck when the airbags deployed for no reason. They had problems before in 2012 & they wouldn't fix it, the owners of the dealership replaced it. GM Denies all claims when they are responsible!
