CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2016 Silverado has a few problems reported here & there, but that's to be expected for a popular model. More importantly, it has no significant problem trends -- both with our complaint data & same with complaints made to the NHTSA.
Leased a 2016 Silverado from Chevy. Check Engine light comes on one day. Then goes off. Then goes on and then the techs check and find no problem. Used onStar Diagnosis and got. They systems are all green. It says Ignore Unknown DTC code. Then I take to dealer again, The Tech said he needs to see or be in truck to fix problem so he can fix it other wise it won't fix the problem.
Check Engine light goes off on its own. Then goes on and truck shakes on start up. Then It jerks while driving. I was told they reset the light and that again to bring it back when it starts happening. :( Made no damn sense the truck is barely a year old!
Still dealing with the Light being on and truck engine shaking.
