I was driving down highway when engine lost power and stopped. It was transported to dealership. The fuel injectors, fuel rails, and catalytic converter need to be replaced.
Vehicle vibrates and shakes significantly between 60-75 mph. Has been ongoing since January 2019, two months after purchasing used vehicle from dealership. Current mileage is just over 52K. There are numerous people with same year, make, and model having the same issue.
I have had this hard jerking and slamming of my transmission in my truck since I purchased it brand new. It occurs when going from reverse to drive it will hesitate and not go into gear and then it slams and jerks the vehicle violently with a aloud crack noise of the gears slamming together. It also occurs when I am in between the speed of 40-50 mph. I will be driving down the road and the truck will slam into gear while driving. It also had a very high idol and shakes the truck. I have brought my truck into the Chevrolet dealership for these issue 5+ times now and contacts the GM to help get my issue solved and they just can't not fix the issue. I don't want to get stranded with my family if the transmission decided to break or cause trouble. I have had multiple occurrences of this issue happening.

Transmission has hard shifting from starting position, while driving and slowing down. 50% of the time you can hear a clunking when hard down shifting. I have had the dealer look into this over 6 times already, and on one occasion it had been "reprogrammed" and on one occasion a part had been changed. It still continues to shift hard as noted above. Odometer as of 4/5/19 is 17,093. Have service scheduled for April 8 2019 for shifting issue and motor oil change.
The transmission shutters, radles, and pings upon light acceleration. It has a delay before down shifting, it occasionally makes a loud clunk when putting into drive I dont know if the afm has part in these issues. If you drive with hard acceleration then it only pings sometimes and kind of sounds like an older 80 model V8 with a timing knock. This truck only has 28K miles on it and it had been doing it for the last 6K miles. If you manually shift the transmission it limits the issue.
I had just gotten home after visiting my parents which is approximately 100 miles (1 hour and 45 minutes) away from my house and I had no issues on the highway with my brakes. The drive was mostly all highway with an average speed limit of 65 and 75 mph. I went to park my truck at my house in which I back into my parking spot at home. When I went to stop, my truck's brakes worked properly but when I put it in reverse to back into the spot, that is when I went to go break, the brakes needed more force applied to the pedal in order to stop the vehicle. I then put my truck into drive to see if the problem was only when the vehicle was in reverse or all the time. I drove it a few feet forwards and back a few times and the problem persisted. General Motors has issued a document (pit5361D) regarding this issue but has not issued a recall. A new vacuum pump was installed by the dealer which resolved the issue but was not covered under warranty.
The first set of brake pads were GM replacement, they did not stop the truck as well as the original. So I replaced the pads with raybestos brake pads, still not satisfied with the stopping distance. Again I went with Napa ceramic pads they caused the breaks to squeal when the brakes were applied. Now my mechanic has replaced them with O relly name pads and the stopping distance is still increasing. The other problem was around 58,000 miles my truck began shifting hard and jerking. When I took it to deacon jones Chevrolet in smithfield nc, they replaced the torque converter at no charge. Now at 63,000 miles its doing the same thing. GM states even if they replaced the part the warranty only covers to 60,000. Miles. When asked about the part warranty same response 60,000 miles. Checking with several mechanics in the area and on line both incidences seems to be a reoccurring problem for people who own trucks of this period. Please check into this.
I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 that having trouble with my breaks and powertrain. I try to stop the other day and the pedal got stiff and wasnt able to come to a complete almost hitting a pedestrian. Its been going on for awhile too. And my powertrain when I in the street or highway going 60mph it tends to shoot the rpms N go down and like the transmission want to shift down on its own.
I was driving and the RPM goes up and down. Its been doing it for awhile now. Ill he driving down the road and well shift gears or having trouble shifting gears. It does between going 60 to 80 mph. Sometimes I fear it might shift gears and get hit or lose control.
Transmission is jerky, and dealership says it's not safe to drive. Faulty transmission wiring harness and heat sensor. Truck has been at dealership for 18 days and GM has no estimate as to when the wiring harness will be available. I'm paying for a 50K truck and paying for a rental with no end in sight. Should be a recall, service tech at dealership told me the part was being 're-tooled'
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 85 mph, there was an uncontrollable vibration coming from underneath the vehicle near the transmission. On several occasions, while driving various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to slow down or stop the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle occasionally also pulled to the left or the right when the brake pedal was depressed. Furthermore, while driving, the vehicle stalled and shut off on four separate occasions. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to wommack Chevrolet (currently known as North park Chevrolet castroville, located at 1955 us-90, castroville, tx 78009, (830) 931-9200) where it was diagnosed that the brake calipers, brake pads, brake lines, and torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact was advised to turn off the ABS and traction control and the vehicle would perform better; however, the contact refused. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The contact was provided case number: 84425679432. The approximate failure mileage was 6,967.
I eased the vehicle into the parking space, released the gas pedal, and it surged/jumped forward. My vehicle pushed the other vehicle in opposite parking space about a foot, causing damage to both vehicles.
Brake vacuum pump issues dealers aware of issue & have an updated vacuum pump available. Transmission issues were it down shifts hard at times & has a bad shattering when upshisting at low speeds took it 2 times before warranty expired said was just a software update. Never took care of issue.
Truck has vibration at 70 mph and upwards from rear of vehicle when on interstate - feels like a driveline vibration. Can be felt in the seat and not through steering wheel. Vibration at times is severe and other times minor or non-existent. Dealer keeps blaming tire/wheel balance but they are in spec (verified by third party tire dealer). Concern that vibration will cause control issues or something to break while traveling at higher speeds. This vibration has been present in the vehicle since new.
At times when slowing to a stop the vehicle jumps forward before stopping. When making slow turns, like in a parking lot, the vehicle will jump forward or lag sometime when shifting gears.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving unknown speeds, the accelerator pedal was applied, but failed to respond. Additionally, the gear shifter failed to engage into gear and the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (quirk Chevrolet, 1000 brighton ave, portland, me 04102) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 300.
Driving at 35mph, suddenly car would not accelerate, upon giving gas would not pick up speed, only RPM kept going high, the yellow check ingine symbol came on.towed to a delaership, casing broken between 4th,5th,6th gear broken.
The front seat shifts around when cornering. The truck shifts constantly. It can never find the correct gear when it needs one. It continues even after they shimmed the front seat and shifting issues happen daily.
