My 2015 Chevrolet High Country truck has a leak coming from 3rd Brake light. I was unaware of this leak until my carpet and head liner suffered mold and mildew smell and the radio will change stations going down the road and has “locked up†and you cannot exit off screen. AND the chrome is coming off on one wheel. Vehicle was carried to GMC dealership for problem on 3/9 and I was advised by the body shop that this is A COMMON PROBLEM and they are replacing 2-3 each week. After trying to get Chevrolet Customer Service to UNDERSTAND that all local Chevrolet dealership in my area did not have a body shop and because of the leak and because of numerous problems with this leak I’m asking the cost of repairs to be paid by Chevrolet.
After being jerked around by GMC dealership they advised this repair could be taken care of by Service Department and not necessary for repairs to be done through the body shop. On 5/4 my vehicle was carried to Chevrolet of Boaz and the service writer advised he could email me forms necessary and turn in with Chevrolet Customer Service. Now it’s 5/11 and the Chevy Store wants me to pay for a diagnostic report and basically told me to get over it. I have a $50,000 truck and can not get help with a new problem that should addressed with a Recall Campaign. I JUST WANT THIS PROBLEM SOLVED AND it is possible to have the GMC dealership to repair by using the cross over assistance thru Chevrolet . I know it can be handled this way from prior problem with Chevrolet Corvette that was repaired by GMC dealership.
