truck was purchased in late October 2015 new we contacted the dealer and told them that it was using oil but was not leaking oil. dealer said it was probably just the rings getting seated and would quit probably around 20,000 miles. we took it to the dealer who started an oil consumption test. we have taken the truck in every 1000 miles for 3000 miles they indicated they would have GM review it after us having to call several times back to the dealer they finally told us it was within GM specifications by using 1 quart every 1000 miles... if thats the case when the truck is due for a normal oil change at approximately 5000 it would be pretty damn dry!! No one at the dealer can present to me in writing from GM what the guidelines are they just keep saying its within specs we have had a supposed GM "liason" call us and they cant even tell us what it supposed to be we have let the truck sit and it is not leaking. We had a 2010 model and it did the same thing, the dealer changed all gaskets, went back and changed a valve and added a "slush pan", then they completelty overhauled the motor and said it was fixed but it never was when I traded the 2010 in for the 2015. I was assured by the salesman that the issue with the oil consumption had been rectified by GM but obviously it has not
