When you keep the factory radio and install an audio system you WILL experience issues. The chimes are very loud; this includes, door open, low fuel, seat belt, turn signals and more... There is a chimes volume control on the radio and it doesn't change, even after being adjusted. Chevy even flashed the radio with the latest firmware with no results. It doesn't matter if you use high level inputs or try a line out converter with a group loop isolator chimes will still be there. Also there is a fairly high level hiss too, which again is not an installer error but an issue from Chevy. I even tried to group the radio in a better place and it didn't change at all :( Still looking for a fix.
