A lifelong fan of Chevy, I have always bought the newest body style of both the Silverado and the Corvette as they become available, generally being one of the first off the line. I have never had a problem with my cars/trucks. However, my new Silverado is a POS. This new E85 engine/transmission is terrible.
While pulling something as small as a jet ski, it shifts from V8 to V6 while trying to slow down and exit the freeway. The RPMs go up to the 6,000ish mark and causes all kinds of commotion. If I happen to be going down a hill at the same time, it will even jerk or buck. It is ridiculous. Its not a truck anymore. If you pull anything, even a small utility trailer, skip over the new Chevy and get another vehicle. It is TERRIBLE! I am trading it in on something else which is ridiculous considering I paid $49,000 for a brand new truck that runs like a Prius.
