The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the tie rod needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer issued a recall for certain other model vehicles per NHTSA campaign number: 14V246000 (steering). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.
