I purchased this vehicle June of 2018. I currently have 6+ pain chips on the truck and it keeps getting worse. I do not take the truck through automatic car washes and I keep the truck in a garage. I have seen other Chevy Silverado owners with the exact issue. I do not feel we should have to pay for these damages as its a defect to their paint job.
Takata recall, my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 6.2L high country has had air conditioning problems since I bought it, the ac lines develope pin hole size leaks even after fixing it over and over, the ac line has no brackets or brace to keep the line from moving or shifting when driving on ruff terrain or some what bumpy roads. I've had 6 leaks fixed year after year never in the same spot, the ac lines design is horrible and I'm tired of paying for something that should had been prevented or recalled by now!! almost everybody with these models and year of trucks have issues with the ac, it's time to fix the problems now!!
Ac condenser leaking. Truck has 111,500 miles and ac went out while on a trip. Had ac serviced, one month later took it back and shop showed me that the condenser is leaking at the weld in the upper right hand corner of the condenser. Same location that I saw today on several other pictures of leaking condensers. GM is not insuring that the part is high quality. Recall should be mandated immediately.
The air conditioning condenser was not engineered to a reasonable quality specification. This condition caused it to crack and allow the freon to leak out. I replaced the condenser and reciever dryer (since the system was unpressurized) and then pay a professional to evacuate the system and recharge it. I work with another owner of a 2014 Silverado. He had the exact same problem. That's what prompted my to see if there was a recall. I also saw a brief segment on Chicago nbc news (youtube) about this problem. General Motors not taking responsibility yet. Please help!

Defective air conditioning. The truck has an air conditioning system fail before it hit 65K. And being less than 4 years old. Really frustrating when a dealer wants 1100 to 1300 dollars to fix something that should not be broken after only 65K mi.
The truck continues to shut off when ever im driving it no matter where I'm at. On the freeway or making a turn it will just shut off. Everything goes dead.
Doors will not lock using the lock button. Locks and unlock manually only if you are able to catch lock and manually pull it up to open or push it down to lock. This occurs when car is stationary or in motion which makes it hard to enter vehicle urgently or exit in the same manner (urgently).
Constant vibration threw out the cabin of the truck at speeds of 65+. I have had 5 sets of tires and the problem has not been fixed even with tires they say will fix the issue, Michelin tires. It is said the its a frame issue and that I have to continue to bring it into the dealership to get the tires balanced every time it starts up again. Even then it still happens on a monthly basis. Why do I have to pay for GM mistakes on the build of tithe trucks? please help, this is not right of GM passing the buck onto the customer.
Welds on air conditioning condenser/transmission cooler failed causing the freon to be released and ac system to fail. Vehicle was traveling on the interstate when this occurred.
Ac condenser has a hole which is causing the freon to leak. This is a known GM issue that has not been corrected. Driving with the windows down is not always an option and as a result unsafe air and heat conditions are experienced
* ac when out yesterday is only 5 years old I search on youtube and a lot people has the same problem is funny because some people say is common this problem no is not General Motors sure make a recall and fixed. Bag light is on after my 2 nd year *rear middle seat won't latch
I have a 2014 Silverado and have been getting off and on gas smell in the cab. Have had a mechanic like ok at every possibility it could be and have found nothing. Heat is on and it is winter time some times worse when you stop and then turn right.
On June 3, 2018 upon cranking the truck, the A/C began blowing extremely hot air to the point it left a red mark across my hand after feeling for the vent waiting for the temperature to cool down. It was 90 degrees outside and raining so windows couldn't be rolled down. Windshield remained foggy due to humidity within the truck and I had to pull over frequently when driving in order to wipe the windshield to be able to see. Two children in the backseat of the truck, one in a rear facing car seat were beyond over heated and well on their way to heat exhaustion by the time we reached the dealership due to temperatures reaching above 95 within the cab. Truck was seen at dealership and was advised due to vibration from driving, the A/C discharge hose was cracked allowing the heat from the engine to be blown directly into the cab of the truck. Hose was replaced ad a bracket added to improve the stability of the hose and refrigerant added. Eight months and 4 days later, A/C suddenly began blowing hot air again. Was advised at the dealership that the high side service port was now leaking and needed a valve replacement and refrigerant added again.
Started vehicle pulled out of garage and power went out and vehicle stopped everything shut off. Wouldn't start. No power at all. Then waited about 1 minute and truck started and everything was reset, clock time. And it displayed some error on dashboard about rolling down window and it will clear system. But couldn't because about 2 hours before I drove 7 miles to pick my son up from school and got out of truck got my son and when we got back into truck put key in and turned it nothing truck wouldn't start. Nothing at all. Waited a minute tried again truck started right up. Except my window wouldn't roll down driver front window. Every other window works. This truck is barely 4 years old.
On multiple occasions, I'd say about 4, when reversing slowly it felt like the brakes went out. I had to push the pedal all the way down in order to get the truck to completely come to a stop.
My truck has been making a sudden, momentary grinding or zipper sound, usually happens when I accelerate hard. It doesn't do it all the time, only sporadically but seems to be happening more often and at lower rates of speed now. When it began, I was usually doing around 70 mph, but has started to do it around 55 mph and then today it did it at around 40 mph. I have brought it in twice, but they couldn't work on it because the truck never made the noise while the mechanic was with me.
