When driving at highway speeds between 72 mph +, the vehicle will vibrate very badly to the point where you can not drive so fast. It comes and goes and when it comes back sometimes even at reduced speeds of 65mph the vehicle still vibrates very bad. I have informed GM of my issue and my local dealership and they choose not to do anything. Really, because they don't know what it is. The vibration is so bad that it can numb your body by the end of your drive or distract you enough to crash. I drive up to 9 hours with my vehicle for work and it is very uncomfortable. I am filing this complaint to see if I can get help to stop this issue from happening. A lot of people are also having this problem and from my understanding, GM is ignoring them as well.

The vehicle is shaking on the highway at normal highway speeds. It makes for poor control of the vehicle. It is a brand new Chevrolet Silverado high country. It has been serviced 3 times and the drivetrain has been balanced, the tires replaced, forced balanced the wheels, replaced the tires and still the problem persists. It causes lane wander and does not feel safe at normal speed.

The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who indicated no action needed to be taken and for the contact to wait until it was time to service the vehicle at 6,000 miles. The vehicle was not inspected nor diagnosed when the contact reported the concern to the authorized dealer. The vehicle was to be inspected, diagnosed and repaired. On Friday May 23, 2014, I was backing an empty boat trailer down my private boat launch with my new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup. When I put the transmission into reverse with my foot on the brake the engine suddenly revved up, started spinning wheels, and shot down the ramp hitting three bulkhead pilings eight feet apart, finally wedging the truck into the last piling and stopping before going into the water. The incident lasted less than five seconds and my foot never left the brake as witnessed by a third party verifying the brake lights never went off. I feel obligated to report this to both Chevrolet and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Had this occurred in a public parking area, serious injuries and damage to other vehicles could have resulted. An insurance claim has been made, and after repairs have been completed, the vehicle will be taken to my Chevrolet dealer for analysis for possible defects.

Pulled the truck into the garage and put the truck into park. Turned the vehicle off and the vehicle did not register as it was in park but rather seemed to be in neutral. The truck began to roll backwards. I placed my foot on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle and moved the gear shifter to ensure it was indeed in park, it was in park. I turned the vehicle back on and confirmed that the truck was displaying P (park) on the instrument panel.

Was in a turn lane following a vehicle going slightly uphill rolling up to an intersection to make a left. The vehicle in front of me made their turn and while I was still rolling I checked oncoming traffic. There was a vehicle coming in the other direction, but I too had time to make the turn in front of the oncoming vehicle. I stepped on the accelerator and it did nothing for what seemed like a half of a second before finally accelerating. It was as if it was the old days when we had a badly tuned carburetor and the engine bogged before finally taking off. Only, the truck doesn't bog, it just doesn't respond as quickly as it should all the time. I had the vehicle in "drive" so perhaps it was running in V4 and/or in the middle of a transmission shift or downshift. Regardless, an accelerator that does not respond the same way every time but varies depending on driving conditions is in my opinion dangerous.
