A lifelong fan of Chevy, I have always bought the newest body style of both the Silverado and the Corvette as they become available, generally being one of the first off the line. I have never had a problem with my cars/trucks. However, my new Silverado is a POS.
The driver alert system is awesome... WHEN IT WORKS. I have taken it to Chevy on FOUR OCCASIONS as the seats on vibrate on occasion when crossing a line. This is NOT in intermittent weather either. It never works when it rains, and that is expected. But in great driving conditions, a very visible line, the seat should vibrate. I took it to THREE dealers, all of which claimed they couldnt figure it out. Now my warranty is out, and my $49,000 2014 truck driver safety package doesnt work. Right off the bat, it was like the seat was broken. Terrible truck!!!!!!! Now, it just says "service driver safety"... and on occasion beeps to let me know its still somewhat working.
