I have had issues with the transmission banging when downshifting gears. Some days it gets really bad almost like bad U-Joints. I have also had issues with the transmission "surging" when downshifting and applying brakes. I had it to the dealer a few different times and they tell me that is how Chevy's are made and there is nothing wrong with it. I call bullshit! There is something going on with the transmission and I just hope that I never rear end someone because it "surges" on me when I go to brake and I smack a car in the ass end. I am about ready to sell the damn thing and buy a Ford!!
had truck to dealer several times was told is normal function bullll!!! weather in or out of cruise when coming to a hill the transmission will slip when downshifting the tach will go from 1200rpm to 2400 rpm then settle back to 1800 rpm sounds like a slip to me when coming to a stop the transmission will clunk when downshifting to lower gears
