The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the factory jack provided by the manufacturer for the vehicle was inadequate to raise the vehicle in the event that a tire needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the raised height for the jack was ten inches; however, the vehicle was twelve inches high. Gordon Chevrolet (31850 Ford rd, garden city, mi 48135, (734) 427-6200) was contacted and stated that the jack was supplied by the manufacturer for the specific vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and provided case number: [xxx]. the approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
