Not sure if the date is correct but. Dealership fixed this issue twice. Now I'm over 100k, no more luck for me.
- So I activated 4x4 and heard a pop. Little did I know that it sheared my drive axle off inside of the differential. Wrecker comes and loads me up. Dealership has my truck for 2 weeks, not able to get parts. Finally fix my truck under warranty. A few months go by and I'm parked on a hill. I happen to look under my truck and notice moisture.
So I take it into the dealership and they check it out. Drivers side drive axle seal is leaking, under further investigation while replacing the seals, the tech noticed my case is cracked for the 2nd time. Failure caused by not properly installing the retainer clip for my drive axle while in the dealership. Hmmm. Maybe we have a problem here.
So now they have my truck for almost 4 weeks, waiting on parts, Oh but now they can't get the front diff housing so, they order in an upgrade as they would call it. 20k miles after I get my truck back once again from the dealership. I activate my 4x4 on level ground and go to back up.. POP... drive axle is now loose and excessive movement up and down, side to side, but low and behold, now I'm out of warranty as well. I'm fed up. I've had nothing but issues with this truck, GM doesn't care one bit. I need to know who I can contact. I work on the road 7 days a week and I need my truck.
