While returning from vacation my Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup truck picked up a vibration. Upon checking, it was discovered that the front drivers side tire had belt separation. The only correction was to replace the defective tire which was done immediately. I now keep a close check on the remaining three tires.
I observed cracks in my tires about 1 inch out from the rim. All four tires are starting to crack out along the bead line in a circle around the tire. The dealer I purchased these from says it is not dangerous, but he is willing to credit a small sum towards a new set of tires. Why would someone credit you if the tires are not defective. It appears they are trying to cover this up. My family rides in this vehicle and now I am concerned for their safety. The dealer wants to sell me a set of tires just like I have and will only credit me if I purchase from him or holt the tires and credit till I need a new set. I hope to hear from you quickly because I need my truck. The tires are mastercraft courser at-2 265-75R16 purchased on 5/26/07.

Consumer was driving on the highway at approximately 66 mph the tire blew out. The front wheel assembly snapped off right behind the brake hub assembly. Then, vehicle dropped down on its frame and skidded along the road for about 150 to 200 yards and then skidded into a guard rail. Consumer contacted the manufacturer, and was told that the manufacturer will send someone to investigate the situation. Currently, GM denied the claim. Right front wheel assembly broke off at the upper ball joint.
While driving in the rain at 55 mph and without warning, the vehicle started to spin around in circles. On another occasion, while driving in rain it kept feeling like vehicle wanted to get away from the consumer. The consumer stated the brakes locked up as well.
I was driving on a wet road in a 2002 Chevy Silverado when the vehicle started to hydroplane out of control off the road. I was driving about 55 mph at the time. Have there been any studies on the perofrmace of vehicles under slick road conditions" are trucks more likely to hydroplane than other types of automobile" since this incident I am concerned about the safety of driving my vehicle in poor weather conditions.
When accelerating, the rear end went out of control. The good year tire dealer stated that the tire was the wrong type for the pick up truck. The tread design and the hard compound was a unsafe tire for the pickup. With a light rear end, it caused the truck to spin at a low speed and accelerate with out warning. The consumer is dissatisfied with good year service.
All four tires on the vehicle warped and had stress marks located on the inner and outer side of the tire. There were no incidents or fatalities to report but the driver is concerned because these tires are a potential hazard; a accident waiting to happen. The tire are Bridgestone lt#P2457R16 1201169. Please provide additional information and the dot number for these tires.
While driving on the freeway at 60 mph, driver's side rear tire exploded from the sidewall. When this occurred, driver lost control, and went off the road. Other 3 tires and spare were splitting at the sidewall. Cause of the failure was undetermined.
The rear drivers side tire rubber was very flimsy. Rocks were able to get inside the tread and pearce through which resulted in a flat tire. The tire was repaired.
The front tires on the outer edge are what I call cupping out. I have been to the dealer 4 or 5 times where I purchased the truck and they have acknowledged that I do have a front end problem. They keep telling me it's the alignment causing the abnormal wear but after 5 or 6 alignments you would think something would either correct or the dealership would tell me what is wrong with the truck. I went to a different dealership in smyrna appx 9 miles from bill heard about 2 weeks after they aligned my truck and they said the truck was out of alignment. I had to pay for this and this was a rep. From the GM factory telling me what to do. As of 12/2/02 ed boggs the rep said their was nothing else that Chevrolet or GM could do. I suggested him give me a truck that was safe to drive or I felt I was safe. Bill heard did admit that the wear on 5 tire rotations on the front end was abnormal but was within specs. I gave them a chance and said if you would write me a letter or statement saying that this wear is normal and is not going to affect the normal wear on this truck I will shut up and let it rest. Wasn't going to happen! the pulled a print out stating they couldn't find nothing wrong with my truck. I in the meantime have checked a few of the newer trucks I've seen in parking lots and noticed about half the trucks have the same kind of problem so I guess im the only one pursuing the problem. I don't have the money to keep sinking into this truck. On the older trucks I've owned the wear im getting on these tires look like shock or suspension problems but they say no way. So I'm back at square one with abnormal tire wear and no answers and really mad. Hopefully you people can help me.
