I had to be picked up off the side of the road when my truck went dead. Had it sent to All Automotive that I have known the owner for years. He informs me that the timing chain was broke and it also damaged the valves.
He told me that this was a premature break on this chain and he was surprised that this event happen.
This truck has been nothing but a nightmare and I still owe $6000.00 on it.
The repair damage is $3800.00 that I did not expect on this truck. I have bought Chevy all my adult life but this has been the biggest disappointment I have experienced and most expensive lesson that I will never repeat. I paid $62,000 for this truck thinking it would last until it was paid off.
Contact GM and receive a reply that they apologize ,but nothing after that. Check to see if there was issues with the timing belt on the 2007 and 2009 and there was. How did 2008 get left out.
