These cracks happen over time, first on the passenger side (the small one in the picture) then on the drivers side I had a large one cracked there. There no reason why this should happen except cheap dashes from GM.

This is ridiculous. I would like this fixed ASAP!!

Dash has 5 different cracks in it.

Multiple cracks on dashboard, another issue on chevy trucks..

I have two cracks in the dash directly adjacent to the passenger airbag. Not particularly noticeable unless you are cleaning the dash (which is how I saw it) but concerning because you want if the airbag will be punctured by the broken piece during deployment or if the piece becomes a projectile in that case.

Dash has cracked in my silverado in two places, both above the instrument panel on the drivers side. I have talked to other silverado owners of the same body style and they also have cracked dashes. Called GM and they have no recall or plans to fix if out of the 3 yr 36000 mile part of the bumper to bumper warranty. other than that, truck is great.

Dash is cracked in multiple places from plastic stress, heat and vibrations. The cheap material cracks over driver steering wheel, over radio area and glove box.

I believe GM should cover this issue and find a new material more flexible to withstand vibration.
