My 2007 Silverado LTZ came equipped with a windsdhield washer fluid heater. As I live in a cold climate I fould this feature very convenient. Not sure exactly when it arrived, but I received a recall letter regarding this feature. The recall stated that a fire may occur if not fixed. I brought the truck in to the dealer, figuring it would be fixed. Here was their fix. They removed the fuse and the entire wire assemply from the vehicle. making this feature inoperable. They never told me that was their intention. I received a $100 check in the mail, for my trouble. It wasn't until the following winter when I tried to use this feature that I discovered what they had done. You would think General Motors would have come up with a better solution to the problem. I have owned chevy trucks since 1972, this is my last.
