I purchased a used 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Truck for my husband for Christmas. I am totally annoyed that we are having continual problems with the Electrical. First he kept getting a message that the truck was overheating and it would shut down the air conditioner, he had a tool that checked and the temperature at that time was not hot. The AC would shut down anyway. Also, the dash board indicator lights odometer, drive, park, etc totally go invisible for periods of time. They do come back on, however is annoying and you cannot at that point tell if it is accurate upon return or not. Please can someone tell me if they have had this problem and tell me what methods were used to correct it? We have a warranty on it still and have taken it to be serviced. They changed the thermostat, but the lights are still going out on the dash. Any help in resolving this situation would be helpful.
