The truck was taken to Chevrolet dealer and they stated they reset the computer to solve the problem with the AC/Heater Blower. The AC/Heater blew air, but it would not blow out of defrost or the panel when you turned the switch to one of the settings. Shortly after fixing this, the left door lock mechanism went out.

I replaced the left lock mechanism myself for $22.00 even though it was under warranty. 30,000 miles later this lock switch went out again in 2012, and the air setting switch went out again within a day of the lock mechanism not working. Something is certainly not working properly in this truck. The Chevrolet dealer stated to me if it was the same problem as the first time (reset the computer), they would not charge me.

They set a date for me to come in with the truck, but guess what, the air started blowing out of the setting I set it on. The lock mechanism is still not working though.

I believe this is more than what Chevrolet is wanting the consumer to know....

The blower motor just quit working, melting connectors, resistors. Took vehicle to Chevy dealership and Sisbarro of Deming, NM told us no warranty for repairs. Did not mention at all that GM Canada has a recall on the blower motor resistor that poses a fire hazard and the $656.27 came out of our pockets. What a rip-off. Then to boot, after dealership thought they fixed the problem, we have no high speed on the blower fan and have to return tomorrow to see why the 5th speed on the fan does not work. Tune in tomorrow to see how Sisbarro handles the situation. HELP!!!!!

So, this morning I get in the truck and as usual it's just blowing air even though I have the fan off. After I'd driven down the road a little while it quit blowing cold air and now all of a sudden it started blowing HOT air. And I mean really hot air. So I decided to try turning on the AC so that I could actually cool things down, and even with the AC on it still blows hot air, there's NO temperature change. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I can't make it through the summer like this. It has been blowing air with the fan off, and I thought it was odd that even if the AC was clicked "off" and the fan was turned off if I had it set on cold it would blow air out like I was running the AC. Now I can assume that it was a part of a bigger problem. Go figure, another issue with this truck. I'll never own another Silverado.
