I am having fuel injector problems and there was an extra warranty that I missed by about 25 days,BUT, GM never contacted me about it and now its going to cost me $5,000.00 to fix, that's what my local Dealer says. I have called GM many times with NO help and the people I had to talk to must have been in India, because I had a hard time trying to understand them, Mr. David and his Supervisor. I have just wrote a complaint and somehow clicked to wrong key and lost it, I guess. I wanted to add what GM said to me by email about my fuel injectors problem, that somehow I clicked the key on my computer and had to add this. This is what GM emailed me back ( Although we do understand your position, our experience has been that a defect attributable to the original manufacturing and assembly process generally makes itself apparent quite early in the life of the vehicle. After a vehicle has been in service for several years, many factors (usage, owner maintenance, age and wear, etc) can contribute to difficulties that are beyond the control of the vehicles manufacturer.
A point is eventually reached where the manufacturer's responsibility ceases and any additional repairs or expenses become the responsibility of the owner. Because your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado has accumulated 135,958 miles on it, we are unable to extend warranty service or cost assistance for this repair.
Your service request number is 71-906525661 and if you need further assistance dont hesitate to call the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-1020. We are open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Eastern Time.
Again, thank you for contacting Chevrolet.
Sincerely,The Chevrolet Consumer Support Team
