- New Bulbs, Why Replace Radio And/or Switch - These 12V incandescent bulbs are the same physical size and voltage as the ones in the dash components of the Silverado. With a little soldering skill, you can replace them. Be careful, The circuit boards in the radio and switch assemblies are of poor quality, and can be damaged by excessive heating or pressure. Use only a soldering iron and tip designed for PC board work, and only enough heat to reflow the solder. Take your time, and save money!
