OK the abs system quit working and the brakes were hard to push to stop. I ranted about this before. I pulled the fuse to abs and i can stop now. I had an email sent to me saying if I put my vin number in you could check to see about recall...on brakes, gas gauge doesn't work either. It doesn't give the exact amount of gas in tank.

So here is the VIN # 2GCEK19V4Y1407601 I hope to hear soon that this is going to be a recall and CHEVY will fix this.

Ok I still have the fuel gauge problem but within the past 3 months I had a new scary problem, my BRAKES! One day I was leaving work for lunch and turned into a parking lot and was pulling into a space to park and almost jumped the curb and back onto the heavy traffic road in which I just came from. The brakes made a vibration with noise(kind of loud hummm) and then the brake pedal stopped, locked, but I wasn't stopping(wasn't going fast..thank goodness) and put it straight to park abruptly.

Talked to a friend and we took out a fuse to the ABS and it worked and I was hoping that it would have reset itself but put it back in and it is doing the same scary thing. So is this site here just to BITCH about whats wrong with our vehicles or is something being sent to $$$$ing Chevy??????? TO GET OUR VEHICLES FIXED.....RECALL.

Almost the same exact problem someone else reported, the parking brake light and the ABS light come on at the same time after driving for a few minutes, and remain on. Sometimes it happens after just a few minutes, other times I can drive for more than an hour and not have it happen. Seems to be something loose; the problem seems to show up more quickly when going over rough road.

Took it to the local dealer to get it fixed, they thought it was a rusted ground connection - they fixed that ($50) but the problem came back the next day.

The parking brake light and the ABS light come on at the same time after driving for a few minutes, and remain on. This indicates that there's a problem with the anti-lock braking system. Initial estimates put this repair at over $1,000, but those don't include written estimates. I don't intend to have it fixed, and have for the first time in my life changed from buying American cars. I now own an Acura, and plan to let the truck fail completely on its own.
