PE00 020; consumer had had parked his car in front of the house and noticed that right rear tire was flat. There were stress marks on the tire. Tires were Firestone wilderness #at P26575R16. He said that he contacted Firestone.
PE 00 020/tire tread separation: Unable to get tires to balance by the dealer on four occasions on a 1999, Chevrolet, silerado; original equipment, P265/75R16, dot# unavailable. Firestone notified and refused to check the tire because it was not a recalls tire. Firestone Wilderness AT P265/75/R16
Truck was parked in driveway. Noticed a bulge in tire. Went in house to inform room-mate. Tire blew out side where bulge was, while just sitting in driveway. Blew gravel into neighbors garage and vehicle (Jeep). Tire had a hole about the size of a quarter between the sidewall and the tread. Firestone dealer charged us to replace the tire - said it wasn't covered under warranty - and it must have been something we did" how can a tire just blow out sitting in a driveway"( dot number: Tire size: 26575R16 )
PE00 020; consumer took vehicle to dealership because he was having problem with steering. Mechanic told him that front driver's tire tread had separated from wheel. Tires were Firestone wilderness #at P26575R16/114S/M/S. dealership replaced the tire. Firestone Wilderness AT P265/75/R16
