While traveling, the consumer noticed smoke coming out of the exhaust. The dealer was notified and a technician stated the engine heads were cracked. The dealer was contacted and got a mechanic who stated this year truck was always having these problems with the engine. The consumer was concerned because they did not have the funds to repair the vehicle. It cost approximately $4300 for repairs.
Engine failure while driving. I have made complaints to Chevrolet customer assistance regarding the engine failure on our 3/4 ton diesel truck and until the truck is in engine failure the mechanic cannot determine the cause. Mean while I was told until the computer can determine the cause, nothing can be done.
Consumer while traveling notice lost of vehicle power surging and lost of fuel usage. Vehicle was service by dealer technician notice fuel pump need to be replaced.
