Seat frame failed, reported to mfr on 12/9/2002 rep said that no other incidences had been reported. (not true) dealership where I received estimate for repair ($315) said that this is a very common repair (estimated at two per day at one time).
Front seat has separated from track and anchors. Dealer has inspected vehicle. The seat flops around as the result of separating from trac and anchors.

Brackets that hold driver's side and the passenger's side seats broke, causing the seats to rock back and forth. Problem was reported to dealership. But, problem has not been corrected.
Seat frame broke on left front corner, causing seat to move up and down. Result of the metric nut breaking off of a thin strip of metal attached to the seat, the metal was worn out from frequent bending/flexing. Dealer claims frame needs to be replaced.
Master cylinder is defective. Master cylinder controls brakes at this time, and it leaking brakes fluid, also, the seat frame is breaking on driver's side, and voltage gauge is not working.
Bracket that holds the seat frame on the left side of the driver's seat broke. The problem was reported to the dealership. The problem is being repaired at owner's cost.
Whenever it rains & windshield wipers are suppose to be in use, they would fail to work properly. Sometimes stopping in midwipe. Would come on or off by themselves. This causes poor visibility to the driver. It is an intermittent problem. Also, seat bolts holding the brace through the base, broke. It was not connected. Kept moving freely. Will be taking vehicle to dealer.
Driver had parked vehicle & leaned backwards. The driver's seat frame broke. Got out & checked. Noticed it had cracked at one corner. Had heard a popping sound prior to leaning backwards. Will be taking vehicle to dealer.
The drivers side bucket seat broke at one of the mount points under the seat. This is a bucket type seat. The seat got very wobbly after mount broke. I do not feel that this is normal wear andtear. I think this is a manufactuing defect. A mechanic at another garage told me that he had seen several seats break in the same manner.
The driver's side seat frame is broken on the bottom left corner which causes the seat to rock back and forth. The dealer is aware of the problem. Not willing to correct free of charge. The seat frame has not been repaired.
Windshield wipers failed to operate when switched on. After turning them off and on several times they began working. This has happened on several other occassions, athough, as of yet, they have not failed completely. Seat reclined by itself also it would not lock into position. Eventually it began functioning normally again. This has happened on several occassions.
