When I set the temperature for the heater I can't lower the heat without pulling over and killing the engine and restarting. When I turn on the AC I can't turn it off either. I talked to a mechanic at the Chevrolet dealership and it sounded as though it was one of those problems that they would have to do a hit and miss repair until the problem is solved, possibly costing hundred's until it is fixed....
