my car is impounded pending gm finding solution to issue
It is incredible that GM decided to not allow the 2016 model year cars to be delivered on purchases made on 7/7/16 or after due to a cable fraying issue that could possibly get worse over time and usage! This issue is more likely to affect cars that are 2014-15 model years - NOT the 2016 models. But: GM has decided that our cars needed to be confiscated/impounded! We bought and paid for a Chevy SS on 7/7/16 and the car is still sitting at the dealer's storage lot in Villa Park, Illinois. The last word we had from GM back in July: "we are projecting that the repairs will be made in early October." We have not had one update on where GM is on getting this problem solved!
