On July 14, 2004 near westminster mall lower ball joint of my 2000 Chevy S10 brock. I took my vehicle sears auto center which was across the street and had it fixed. According to website there were 7 incidents similar to mine.
Within 25,000 of purchasing the vehicle lower ball joints wore out prematurely, and were replaced. At 53,000 miles, the lower ball joints were replaced again. The cause of the premature wear had not been determined.
Failure of right front wheel bearing. In past three months have also had to replace left wheel bearing assembly and lower ball joint, as well as effected tire. Have spent over $750 in parts and labor on this vehicle for these failure in past 90 days. Mechanic says to expect problems with wheel bearings to continue in future.
Left wheel bearing assembly failure, caused brake failure (due to fraying of brake sensor). Mechanic warns this will be a recurring problem with this vehicle. Recently also had to replace lower ball joint in same vehicle.
