Consumer pulled into a parking lot when smoke began emitting from under the hood. Vehicle then caught on fire under the hood. Transmission fluid was just flushed approximately 1 hour before incident occurred.
While driving 30-35 mph, a fire started in the engine compartment. Dealer and manufacturer were notified. The engine had already stopped and vehicle was coasting when the fire became evident. The brakes were non-funtional, consumer stopped the vehicle by means of emergency brake. Truck was consumed and totally engulfed in about five minutes. Total loss.
While driving down the road ABS light came on briefly.also, there was a burning smell on the passenger's side in the computer area. Contacted dealer, he couldn't find the cause.
