The contact owns a 1998 Chevrolet S10. The contact stated that the front passenger side airbag deployed while the vehicle was turned off. The passenger of the vehicle sustained third degree burns to the right arm. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 236,000. Updated 04/11/12.
While driving 60-65 mph a deer ran in front of the vehicle, resulting in a head on collision. Upon impact, the air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was totaled by the insurance company.
While driving 35 mph the vehicle in front came to a complete stop, causing consumer's vehicle to rear end the other vehicle. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy. The consumer had vehicle towed to the dealer.
The vehicle was involved in an accident. The airbags did not deploy. Neither the driver or passenger side air bags deployed. The switch for the passenger side was in the "on" position.
The vehicle hit a fence post after leaving the roadway, and damaged the front end. The consumer also broke two ribs and punctured left lung, the air bags did not experience deployment.

Neither air bags deployed when consumers vehicle rear ended another vehicle. Insurance company declared vehicle as totaled. Dealer and manufacturer were not notified at this time. There was one injury.
While driving 15 mph, was involved in a head on collision with a tree. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy, resulting in major injuries. Also, vehicle has been totaled. Consumer was stopping due to traffic when another vehicle hit her from behind, vehicle was shoved off the road into a tree.
While driving at 40 mph an accident occurred, vehicle hit a wall, and air bags did not deploy. Consumer states that the car hit lower room of a sun room of a hotel, also broke off street light pole on its way toward the building and broke glass in the celing of the structure.

Was driving 40mp swerved to miss a deer/lost control, and went down an embankment. Hit a tree head-on. Upon impact, neither of air bags deployed. Vehicle was totaled. Driver suffered injuries to his back and knees. Emergency room treatment.
While driving about 20 mph and when passing a frozen spot on road, and crashing into bridge, none of frontal air bags deployed. Consumer had contacted manufacturer about the situation.
Consumer was traveling about 35mph on side street and she was in the process of turning right, and brakes locked up and vehicle ran into a pole. She has dual airbags, and neither airbag deployed. Consumer was hurt.
While driving about 65 mph rear ended another vehicle, driver side air bag did not deploy and passenger side air bag was turned off. Vehicle had 2nd generation air bag rear ended causing a second front end collision.
While driving 70 mph had a direct impact with an embankment/ pole and a tree during which driver's and passenger's airbags did not deploy, and did not protect the occupant in the crash. Also problems with ignition wiring which caused vehicle to stall.
Consumer was involved in a 55 mph collision running through a guardrail in which vehicle flipped over, damaging the front end of vehicle. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's air bags did not deploy, cause unknown.
While consumer was traveling about 15mph he was hit by another vehicle and went into a tree. Upon impact, airbags didn't deploy. Consumer will contact GMC.
Consumer was traveling on icy roads at 30-35mph and an 18 wheeler drifted into consumers lane. Consumer spun around, hit a concrete wall head-on. Upon impact, driver's side air bag didn't deploy. Passenger's side air bag had on/off switch.
