When driving the truck, it shuts down during odd times. It doesnt shut down when the truck has been driven along time. It happens when the engine is cold and hot. When I mean shut down im referring to the whole truck turning off. The battery light comes on when shut down occurs. I had this vehicle to a chev dealer, the said it was a ignition module, I had it replaced. The same problem happened. I had it to another garage, they said it was a crack sensor, I had it replaced, its still happening. I had it to another garage, they said it was a ignition coil, I had it replaced, you guessed it, still shutting down. I sanked 300 hundred dollars on the so called professionals from Chevrolet. Im still having the problem. They are dumping parts in my truck and have no idea what it is. I bought this vehicle used and it still has low miles on it. There has to be a solution to my problem.
Oil has been leaking onto skid plates. Dealer has been contacted. Consumer states that rubber oil lines from engine to filter are leaking while driving, this oil blows all over the engine compartment. Consumer questioned several dealers and they say all S10 trucks have same problem.
Engine makes a grinding noise while accelerating. After three service visits to the dealer I was then informed this is a factory defect and they state they do not know how to repair it.

The engine sometimes stalls while consumer releases the clutch, the engine hesitates and sometimes has little power. The consumer smells fuel and sulfer, the dealer can not locate any problems. The starter does not work properly. The air conditioner blows hot. The transmission is slipping, the clutch locks up in reverse and is noisy. The consumer complains that the vehicle does not stop fast enough. The fan clutch was noisy.
,mentioned about brakes before, dealer could not find anything. Took in for overheating, dealer replaced some parts, said it was ready, following week overheated again, dealer towed vehicle in, took apart, said it was ready to be picked up, but it was still in pieces, and they would not fix. Further contacting Chevrolet with this problem which has been on going.
Brakes skip. Driving and engine overheats, will not go over 40 mph, keeps dying, steering/braking problems, second time in a two week period, dealer will not make good on it, still under warranty, now it is "like a rock" or at least runs like one.
When driving at any speed and applying the brakes, they work intermittently, and sometimes they won't work at all. Also, there is an oil leak/side mirror fell off/ seat latch fell off, and driver's side seat belt isn't working. Vehicle has been dealer has been aware of problem, and vehicle has been at dealer's for repairs. The brake failed while trying to avoid not hitting a dear and vehicle involved in the accident, two people injured.
Truck does't want to start, it backfires, engine pulls down before starting, power to radio is disrupted, causing radio to reset. Paint starting to crack on hood and roof. Braking system for ABS makes a loud noise when pushed had to floor. Radio only plays tapes though one side of speakers.
Loosing too much engine oil. One day, while driving to workplace, noticed unusual noise in the engine. Upon arrival at destination, found out that oil level did regiter at dipstick.
Engine continually failing while driving causing dangerous driving conditions, loss of steering, brakes and control of speed, unable to remedy constant failures.
