When I really need my brakes as in a panic stop situation they are not there. The other day a deer ran in front of me and I hit the brakes hard and the ABS like shut my brakes off. Luckily I was able to swerve off the road and no damage was done. Also on snow or ice I hate driving this truck because the slightest pressure on the brake pedal will render the brakes useless. I don't drive fast and am aware of stop signs on the way home. I slow down way before the sign and still go right through it as if I have no brakes. This is a great truck except for the fear I have of not having any brakes when I need them. I just know that sooner or later an accident will happen.
1st instance brakes did not stop vehicle on icy pavement. 2nd instance, in panic situation, pedal went nearly to the floor and vehicle continued to move approx. 200 feet before crashing.
