ABS activates on slight roughness. Sudden stops on 2 occasions caused the ABS to activate and the pedal to suddenly fall almost to the floor. The master cylinder was replaced once, but it happened again. The caliper froze on one wheel ruining the rotor. In general, this vehicle isn't safe to operate despite the fact it is in otherwise like-new condition.
Master cylinder cap is not staying locked as it should because the locking tabps will not stay on properly, causing master cylinder to lose pressure when brakes are applied. Dealer has not been notified.
When applying the brakes the pedal goes to the floor and vehicle does not stop. Vehicle has been in 3 crashes. Dealer changed the master cylinder and had the front brake pads and rotors replaced, but problem still exists.
Consumer has exprienced brakes failure more than one time. The first time brake warning light came on. Consumer was told that due to faulty parts the brake master cylinder was replaced 2 times. Consumer was pressing the brakes to stop when she crashed into the back of a vehicle driven 10mph. The consumer was driving 40mph. Due to crash, the master cylinder was replaced again at approximately every 7,000 milees. The brakes would lose pressure third time. Consumer went to dealership who bled the brake system and checked the caliper code, (no-code), there was air in the lines.
ABS brakes; when applying the brakes normally in wet weather, the pedal went to the floor and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle, causing an accident. Master cylinder had been replaced due to it leaking. Fuse for horn and interior lights kept blowing. Air conditioer was not blowing cold. Battery had a bad cell, causing vehicle to not start.
