This small, supposedly efficient, 4 cylinder car eats as much gas as an SUV. Evidently, this is a common problem with the Chev Optra. The gas mileage is grossly underestimated. As this is a selling point, I feel GM should be responsible and they tell me there is nothing they can or will do. It uses 25% more fuel than advertised. They will not go to arbitration and they will not do anything about this problem. I have complained about this since I bought it new in 2006, to no avail. I am stuck with a terribly inefficient car.
