The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While starting the vehicle, the key remained stuck in the ignition switch. Once the key was removed, the igniton did not cut off. In addition, the front of the vehicle was leaking oil. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced and the oil leakage was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000.
