The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated that the traction control light illuminated intermittently. The contact stated that it was extremely difficult to change gears from the gear box. The contact applied excessive force with both hands several times in order to shift to drive or reverse. Additionally, the contact stated that the when depressing the accelerator pedal, there was an abnormal noise and the vehicle hesitated to accelerate. The contact also stated that the tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
