Pully bearings failed on serpentine belt tensioner. GM doesn't supply dealers with the $25.00 Pully, they only supply dealers with the $250.00 tensioner assembly that the dealer then takes the good pully off of and installs on the old tensioner. This saves you 4 hours of labor but you get to take home a new tensioner with a worn out pully. I asked why don't you just go to NAPA they have just the pully for $25 and this would save your customers a little bit of money, I was told that the dealer can only purchase from GM. The dealer BUFF WHELAN also told me that $225 isn't a lot of money..
