The consumer requested the dealer to repurchase the vehicle, and reimburse for the repair(s), and the rental. Mr scc
Consumer states he heard noise coming from the front end of vehicle. Dealer determined the front tires are out of round and the tires are rubbing on the struts.
While in motion, the vehicle started drifting to the left toward another vehicle. The consumer turned vehicle slightly to the right and the steering did not respond. The vehicle was floating and the only way the consumer regained control was to tap the brakes and slow down to about 60 mph.
Steering wheel viberates and visibly shakes from side-to-side after reaching a speed of approximately 40 mph. Vehicle pulls slightly in both directions on a regular basis. Steering column is not centered, and has not been since first day of ownership. Dealership has been alerted to these defects, but has not returned calls. Service call was originally scheduled in April of 2001, but dealership would not furnish courtesy transportation. Therefore vehicle was not left for service/inspection.
