The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While driving 60 mph, the temperature and fuel gauges displayed incorrect readings. In addition, the low coolant warning light illuminated even though there was coolant in the vehicle. The air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 163,000. Updated 09/20/16 the consumer stated if the vehicle sat for two days, the battery was drain and die. His mechanic stated it was due to an electrical problem. Also, the rear defroster did not work, the fan switch did not work right away, and the turn signal light did not work unless he tapped the dashboard, and the transmission shifted hard. Updated 10/13/16.
Turn signals only work some of the time and make a loud buzzing noise sometimes you can make them work by pushing the four way flashers but it is only a temporary fix.. I believe this is a serious safety issue and there should be a recall for this problem. There is also a clunking noise coming form the steering column/front end.
The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated that the hazard light, headlights and turn signals all failed. However, the turn signals functioned intermittently. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The current and failure mileages were 150,000.
Turn signals operate erratically or not at all mostly during warmer weather. Pressing the hazard light button on for about 3 seconds usually makes them start working again but creates a distracted driving condition when trying to let your intentions known to other drivers. Symptoms are no blinking, slow and changing blink speed, and excessively fast blinking.

Traffic signals constantly fail to work, used to be able to push hazard light button and they would come back on, now hazard lights won't work either. Have almost had 4 accidents because blinkers failed to work, have almost been cited by the local police until I proved it was a mechanical failure. Can't afford the cost of repair, because I had to pay out of my pocket for catalytic converter replacement when it failed, though it was a manufacturer defect, because GMC and dealer wouldn't make it good, and the engine shut down completely.
