Vehicle was involved in a minor low speed collision, the hood striker pulled out of the hood and when the owner attempted to drive home the hood flew up causing no visibility and damage to the roof, upon inspection the repairman noticed that the striker was braided to the hood instead of welded, he believes this is a poor design (body shop repairman wrote in for consumer).
