The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While driving approximately 60 mph, the rear brake lights were inoperative. The contact was alerted by a driver once reaching his destination. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they informed the contact that the failure was attributed to the brake multifunction switch. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 163,125.
