During wet conditions only brakes will not engage for approximately 3 to 4 seconds after application, then will catch, resulting in an increased stopping distance, acted just like old drum brakes when they got wet. Dealership could not determine cause, but replaced rotors and pads. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
ABS operated erratically. Firstcrash resulted when consumer attempted to stop while approaching a stop light traveling at approximately 35 to 40 mph under cold/wet weather conditions, and brakes failed to engage. Vehicle rear ended another vehicle. Dealership examined vehicle at beginning of March, and found nothing wrong with ABS. On March 16th, 2001, under rainy/icy conditions, consumer was traveling at approximately 30 to 40 mph when she tried to apply brakes. Brake pedal went to the floor, and braking system failed to engage. Vehicle went into a ditch, causing rear end of vehicle to swing around into ditch, and causing 3 tires to flatten, and $9000 of damage. Consumer has not been in possession of vehicle since second occurrence. Dealership has provided consumer with no information as to the cause of this defect. The brakes fail completely when it gets wet and cold.
Ongoing problem with front wheels locking up on three occasions. Vehicle been in dealer shop, and various parts and repairs have been made, but problem reoccurred within a matter of time. The dealer tried to fix the problem eight times, but the problem reoccurs and it was even getting worse. The consumer was afraid of driving the vehicle.
When driving in rain would apply brakes, and ABS system would fail to work until it dried out. Pedal would get hard. Took to dealer & mechanic put on a new set of pads & rotors. Been to dealer twice & finally informed brakes work normally.

Premature wear of rotors. Vehicle has had three sets of rotors in a year. Also, when brakes are applied in wet conditions pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has inspected vehicle several times, and has not been able to duplicate the problem.

Informed by GM customer service that their 3yr/36,000 mile warranty does not cover anything to do with the brakes, no route to follow to escalate problem! can you advise??
When applying the brakes at any speed I feel I don't have the security of knowing I will stop in time. The low traction light is always coming on and now I must replace the brakes. I hit a van because of this. I feel this car is unsafe but proving this is another thing. Dealers look at it and tell you that you are the first one to complain.
